Teen Ministry from Journey Covenant Church!
We at Youth Journey believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and the sins of the whole world, and in 3 days, rose again! We believe that by faith in Christ we are saved! We believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit! We eagerly and humbly reach out in love to all as we serve God by serving others.

What's new this week at Youth Journey...
Week of February 1st-February 7th, 2010
Hello Dear Family!
We have a wonderful opportunity to serve our sister church in Long Beach! We have no Sunday youth service this weekend, as we will travel to Fountain of Life Church in Long Beach to serve their children's ministry while they have their special membership service. We will meet there at 9:30am to check in, and serve through their service from 10am-11:30am. They meet at Hamilton Middle School - 1060 East 70th St., Long Beach, CA 90805 where the 710 and 91 freeways meet. For directions and map, CLICK HERE! Contact Chris to RSVP, as 6 people are needed for multiple age groups with pre-prepared lessons!
Pray for our friends in Mexico!
RAIN IN MEXICO! Our emergency trip may be postponed due to rain that would cause the roads to be blocked! We will make it down, but may have to wait... The recent rainstorm we felt last week has had a much more profound effect to those we serve and love in Baja Mexico. The people living in the very same village where we built the four homes during our missions trip have lost complete homes, food, clothing, supplies to the rain and winds. Many took shelter and have literally moved their families into Village of Hope (Campa Esperanza) and are staying there still. We will be sending a small team down to join Baja Bound to serve and help take down much needed donations of clothes, food, toys for kids and to do roofing repairs. Please pray and see how you can help. Financial donations would be used to buy roofing materials, food and more. Pictures below show the water levels blocking all traffic and help so that families must go on foot to get food. Our own Lupita, who we are sponsoring to nursing school is helping others at Village of Hope with her family!

"STAY"... The commitment we are making is to be the same missionairies 24/7! Jesus says in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." So how do we remain in Him? That is the focus of our next teaching series called, "STAY".
