We at Youth Journey believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and the sins of the whole world, and in 3 days, rose again! We believe that by faith in Christ we are saved! We believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit! We eagerly and humbly reach out in love to all as we serve God by serving others.

What's new this week at Youth Journey...
Week of January 9th - January 15th, 2012
Hello Dear Family!
We are back from our first ever, "DC" winter retreat weeked up in Blue Jay at Alpine Christian Camps! The theme was "The Ride", based on Luke 10:38-42... how Jesus wants us to get off the rides of our lives and come to His feet. It was an awesome weekend, of incredible joy, tons of silly fun, great teachings, incredible worship experiences, with kids running around the sanctuary in dance and song, the intimacy of one on ones, small groups and a focus on Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior. Next up for the summer is a week at Hume Lake Christian Camps!!!

In the mean time, we are back and some great things are happening! We continue the push in 2012 to be living disciples of Jesus Christ, in action at all times as missionairies and agents of reconciliation! We have many service opportunities for events where we can give ourselves to the Lord by serving and loving others with our words and actions. For High School, in February we begin a 13-20 week small group course through, "Growing in Christ"... complete with 13 memory verses ad the essentials of the Christian faith as led by our church on a regular basis! The exciting thing about this group, is that it is going to be led by "On the Rock", our young adult ministry!
Teens N' Technology FREE Conference!
FREE conference is on Saturday, February 4th! The "Teens N' Technology" conference is hosted by our partners at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in partnership with several other fantastic organizations. Impacting Hearts is a featured speaker at the conference, and we are also running a booth and if all goes well, we'll have our blow-up boxing ring as well! So we need volunteers and youth to come and not only enjoy the free event, but also to serve the event as volunteers!
* Also, this Sunday, January 29th from 7-8pm, Impacting Hearts will be on the radio on the talk show, "An Evening with Pastor G" on KJLH. Pastor Lamar Simmons is featured, and will be promoting the event, and introducing Impacting Hearts, and our YCNs on the air!!! Catch the show LIVE!!!

Baja Mission Reunion & Supporter Party!!
We're off from Friday, January 20th to Sunday, January 22nd up at Alpine Christian Camps in the Big Bear region! We're hitting the snow and celebrating with worship, devotions, great teaching sessions, interactive team games, a ton of free time on the mountain all in fellowship and growing discipleship! Registration is due on Wednesday, and we have a great group going! So be sure to get your waiver form and registration checks in by tomorrow (Wed)!

Join us this Sunday, January 29th, 2012 at Youth Journey Sunday Services! Jr. High continues DC and High School will be preparing for a young adult led small group through "Growing in Christ". * @ JR. HIGH - "DC" (Discipleship/Confirmation) continues with New Testament Session 18 on Sunday! Keep up with your daily readings and make the mentor meeting at home!
* @ HIGH SCHOOL - Will join main JCC service at 9:30am until we begin the "Growing in Christ" small group in February which will be led by JCC young adults!
* Memory Verse for January is Luke 10:2 - "He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

* Teens N' Technology Conference FREE EVENT on Saturday, February 4th from 9am-3pm in Los Angeles. We are serving as volunteers, serving food, setting up, enjoying the conference, runing a booth and blow-up boxing ring!
* Baja Mission Reunion & Supporter Party! Sat, Feb 11th at 5pm at JCC, but we will show the slide shows, share the vision, and gather in thanksgiving and prayer and celebration to reflect on the trip!
* Movie Screening for "UNDEFEATED"! FREE EVENT on Thursday, March 8th at Ascension Lutheran Church from 7-9pm!
* Hume Lake Summer Camp! From August 12th-August 18th, an incredible journey together!
* Outreach Youth Clubs! Every week we have open youth clubs for everyone to come and serve, have fun, invite friends, meet new friends and grow in Christ. 5 weekly programs. Click here!

Want to know what we learned this winter? OUR GOD IS GREATER!
We are back from the journey God led us through this winter between Christmas and New Years. We celebrate and rejoice in thanksgiving and awe of He who was, and is and is to come! Through Him, we built not 3, but 4 homes for families, served over 40 kids at Casa Gabriel, and served over 300 people at our first ever Worship Event at Campo Esperanza for the villagers and local church! The mayor of Ensenada came out to dedicate one of the homes, and sent a representative to the event later that night to present letters of recognition! To God and God alone, be all the glory!

* Baja Mexico Ministry continues year-round as we partner with Baja Bound and La Hermosa Church, to serve Campa Esperanza (Village of Hope), Casa Gabriel and the local villages!
