We at Youth Journey believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and the sins of the whole world, and in 3 days, rose again! We believe that by faith in Christ we are saved! We believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit! We eagerly and humbly reach out in love to all as we serve God by serving others.

What's new this week at Youth Journey...
Week of July 26th-August 1st, 2010
Hello Dear Family!
It was great to be back at Youth Journey this past Sunday! This Sunday, we complete our "Stay" series together! We have our Beach Service Party on Saturday at Dockweiler Beach in El Segundo! Working with the Boys & Girls Club, Emerging Light and Hope for LA, we will be running a beach day for kids as part of Serve the City LA. We are partnered with Pacific Crossroads Church who will be sending 30 volunteers of their own, a BBQ pit, s'mores and food while we throw a flag football tournament, beach volleyball matches, organize team games, relays and activities, join in song, praise and worship as we celebrate God's creation and love! Be there starting at 9am until about 3pm! Rides for youth and snack/drink donations needed!
FRIDAY NIGHTS ARE BACK! We're meeting at the Mayhack's home in Torrance this Friday night at 6:30pm!
MUDRUN PRACTICE IN AUGUST We're training for the LA Mudrun in Hermosa Beach at 10th & The Strand on Saturday, August 7th at 9am. The main event is on August 21st at the Rosebowl in Pasadena! Expect a 2 hour beach and water workout and then all are welcome to lunch afterwards! CLICK HERE for full details and the practice schedule!
"STAY"... The commitment we are making is to be the same missionairies 24/7! Jesus says in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." So how do we remain in Him? That is the focus of our next teaching series called, "STAY". Here are your Ministry Updates...
Join us on Sunday, August 1st as we complete the "STAY" series! We join together and sing in worship, open with prayer, and share announcements. Then we split the groups with High School and Jr. High teachings. We're going to learn that Jesus asks us to do 10 things to "STAY" confident while living in a chaotic world, and the last thing he asks us, is to STAY CONVINCED. * Beach Party! On Saturday, July 31st we are hosting a beach party to serve others! We will feature a youth vs adult flag football game, and have food, drinks and fun at Dockweiler Beach from 10am-3pm!
* Harvest Crusade! On Friday, August 6th at Anaheim Stadium!
* FOA Camp at Pilgrim Pines August 13th-15th! Applications now due!
* LA Mudrun is on Saturday, August 21st in Pasadena at the Rosebowl. We're forming a giant youth/adult team to represent and glorify God and get down and dirty!
* Raging Waters! is coming on Friday, August 27th!
* Baja Preview Trip is Labor Day weekend on September 3rd-5th as we meet up with our friends at Baja Bound and Chepultepec Church to visit the village and children's home!

Blessed to be a Blessing!
*Pray for our friends in Mexico!
UPDATES FROM LUPITA! The young lady we continue to sponsor through nursing school in the region of Baja, Mexico is sending us regular updates as she grows and learns! She is loving nursing school while she serves in her community with her amazing family! Read her notes and stay in touch with her as she grows with the purpose of God's love to make a difference in the region of Maneadero, where we go to build homes in Mexico!
* Baja Mexico Ministry continues year-round as we partner with Baja Bound and Chepultepec Church, to serve Campa Esperanza (Village of Hope) and the local villages. A small team will be sent down in February to deliver our remaining donations and follow up with the families and the church. We continue to sponsor Lupita's nursing education and will be working together to develop more long-term strategies!
* Missions Trip to Baja, Mexico was from Sunday, December 27th through Friday, January 1st, 2010! Youth Journey led the trip and teamed up with our friends from SBPC and more to fill as many needs as God allowed and we built four homes for families!
* SUPPORTING Ishmael, from Zimbabwe that our teens are sponsoring via World Vision! Constant prayer and support needed!
