DISCIPLESHIP/CONFIRMATION ("DC")
THE JOURNEY FOR JR. HIGH STUDENTS
In Christ, Youth Journey takes the 7th and 8th grade students from the church through a two year JOURNEY through both the Old and New Testaments in the Bible. During this JOURNEY, we cover all the major doctrines of our Christian Faith, through a family-oriented study together with mentorships from the church youth leaders. We believe that true discipleship is grown in the home, and we serve to support the family virtues within our church body! We "confirm" our faith during this two year study together and every year we alternate the New Testament study, with the Old Testament study.
In Christ, each family and student will have their own mentor books for home study, and a student journal for both testaments. Each Sunday will feature a lead teaching at Jr. High youth service by Youth Journey leadership, and discussion groups utilizing the student journals. Every week at home, there is a follow-up study for parents and students to share. There is also a "mentor" section for follow-up outside the home. All created and applied to create a complete discipleship experience growing closer to Jesus Christ.
MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW AS FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST!
Our walks with Jesus are a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week adventure! At Youth Journey, we take Jesus with us everywhere we go! The Mid-Week evenings are our time to share in fellowship with one another. We have lots happening and hope you can join us!
