BAJA MISSIONS MINISTRY UPDATES!
In an effort to provide year-round support and teamwork towards our beloved friends in Baja, Mexico... we will be having an informal brainstorming meeting at Chris' house (2610 Ruhland Ave #3, RB, 90278) on Sunday, August 8th starting at 1pm. We will provide BBQ for lunch, with burgers, sausages, and ask for some help with sides and salads. Anyone who is interested in learning more about how to support the people of Baja, Mexico year-round, as well as leadership and service opportunities, is welcome! Please RSVP!

LABOR DAY TRIP
We will be taking a limited number of interested individuals down to Baja Mexico, for our annual Labor Day weekend service trip and missions planning visit. We meet with the Baja Bound team, Chepultepec Church, serve at Campo Esperanza, and also enjoy a more leisurely visit in general. However, the highlight and pirority of the journey is always our visits to the village, as Pastor Escobar will be introducing us to several potential build sites and the families. We also may be able to visit with Lupita and her nursing school.

BAJA, MEXICO MISSIONS TRIP 2010:
Last year, we built 4 homes! What a joyous adventure God took us all on! We're so proud of the team of 82 with 51 teenagers leading the way! They accepted the call, shared in the joy, took up the adventure and learned to love, serve, build, gather, give, and go!



Baja Missions Slide Show by Jordan!
Jordan Ryan created a brand new slide show for us from a collection of over 2000 photos, over 1000 of which he took himself! With all 7 vans and all 82 team members plus our friends from Baja Bound Ministries and Chepultepec Church as we served the people and joined with them to share God's glory while building four homes for families over New Year's Eve!

Baja Bound Ministries supports the communities and families down in Baja Mexico by building up their economy and fulfilling needs! Youth Journey (teen ministry of Journey Covenant Church) is on board to build up to 4 homes for families who need them desperately. We will also help the local children's home as we serve with the love of Christ! We will be gathering in force to travel to their ministry and assist with building, cleaning, serving, teaching, loving and sharing while we take our faith into action!


  • When is the trip? Monday, December 27th, 2009 - Satday, January 1st, 2010
  • Where? Baja Mexico
  • Who? Any teens and adults willing to serve Christ.
  • What? We will bring the love of God to those in need! Our goal is to build up to four homes for seven families in need. We'll be teaching Vocational Bible School (VBS) at a local Children's Home/Orphanage while playing with the kids, and serving the community with love.
  • Why? To help share Christ with so many who do not know Him. We expect God to stretch us as we serve cross-culturally!

    And that's just a taste of what God has in store for us on this journey... We're looking for youths and families and adult volunteers to partner with in becoming one giant team empowered by love and faith to make things happen and serve the church and families down in Baja Mexico! Let's share the good news to all, in what we say and what we do to glorify our God in Heaven!

    * Monday, December 27th: Departure day and arrival into Mexico
    * Tuesday, December 28th: Work begins, Teaching begins, Songs of worship, Sermon & Sharing
    * Wednesday, December 29th: Work continues, Teaching continues, Songs of worship, Sermon & Sharing
    * Thursday, December 30th: Work continues, Teaching continues, Songs of worship, Sermon & Sharing
    * Friday, December 31st: Work is completed, Teaching completed, Songs of worship, NYE Celebration
    * Saturday, January 1st: Songs of worship, Sermon & Sharing, Good Byes, Shopping,
    Lunch and finally... we return home

    Vocational Bible School Teachings
    Vocational Bible Studies are teaching lessons specifically aimed at children of all ages! Our volunteers will assist the primary teacher and/or translater from Baja Bound Ministries by loving, playing with and spending time with the children of the orphanage. Teams will rotate!
