  • When was the trip? Tuesday, Dec 27th, 2011 - Saturday, Dec 31st, 2011
  • Where? Baja Mexico
  • Who? Any teens and adults willing to serve Christ.
  • What? We will bring the love of God to those in need! Our goal is to build up to four homes for seven families in need. We'll be teaching Vocational Bible School (VBS) at a local Children's Home/Orphanage while playing with the kids, and serving the community with love.
  • Why? To help share Christ with so many who do not know Him. We expect God to stretch us as we serve cross-culturally!

And that's just a taste of what God has in store for us on this journey... We're looking for youths and families and adult volunteers to partner with in becoming one giant team empowered by love and faith to make things happen and serve the church and families down in Baja Mexico! Let's share the good news to all, in what we say and what we do to glorify our God in Heaven!

    BLOWOUT EVANGALISM EVENT
This year... we have so may new blessings in the villages that we can use! We have power lines, storage on site for materials, and a unqie open space in the center of the village. And as God leads us, we're going to try and celebrate it with a major event to boost the local church! We're going to either build a temporary stage or wheel one in and celebrate the new homes and friendships by sharing the Word right there on site on Friday evening, with songs of praise from our team band and the bands from the local church. We're going to share the Gospel from the stage from multiple speakers of our team, and the local church. We're going to celebrate with the families on the streets with dancing and praise to the God who is truly... GREATER!

    LABOR DAY HOME PREVIEW TRIP:
Our annual weekend trip is back on Labor Day weekend from Sat. 9/3 to Mon 9/5. Space is very limited as we visit the villages and serve the local church and Casa Gabriel while preparing for the house builds in Winter. Limited space granted by prayer and special request. For info, contact Chris.

On Memorial Day weekend, we visited the beloved children at Casa Gabriel, and serving with our friends at Baja Bound Ministries and Chepultepec Church under Pastor Escobar! A truly amazing weekend as a team of 28 youth and adults from JCC, TPC Joy and Newsong LA combined efforts to serve by assisting with roofing repairs at the location, delivering donations for the local villages, but most importantly, spending time with the kids.
    * A story from Casa Gabriel - Chelle, a 21 year old girl who is bedridden, lives at Casa Gabriel with her 19 year old sister Elle in a wheelchair, and a 17 year old girl named Sonia also in a wheelchair. At night, when the kids can become scared, during storms or due to recurring nightmares, some of the other kids and these sisters will crawl into one another's beds to protect each other. The children rally around one another in the dark, crawling over beds, across floors, lifting themselves and each other up on the raised beds to lay with one another in an effort to comfort each other in the darkness. Some, when scared, will lay with Chelle, who is one of the older residents in the home, for their own protection.
    * Their love for one another, is beyond imagining. The effort it must take for these children to reach one another, without the use of their own legs, is not only a dark reality of the fear that can consume them, but also a testimony of the shared love and desire to fullfill the needs of the other.
    * Gabriel House is a not-for-profit Christian residential home dedicated to the total care and rehabilitation of profoundly handicapped children and children with immune deficiency disorders. Gabriel House strives to extend hope and dignity to the children at no cost to their impoverished families.
