LA MUDRUN - AUgust 21ST, 2010


GET READY FOR THE MUDRUN!
We are entering as one giant team for the LA Mudrun in Pasadena on Saturday, August 21st (weekend after FOA Camp). Our youth leaders including myself, Lee, Monica, Pam, Eric, Ernesto and I and hopefully some other brave souls will be recruiting youths to join us! Registration through July now is still only $45 per person! We will form a giant team, get some t-shirts, and wear some funny hats as we hit the 3.5 mile obstacle course... in the mud! We will also be hosting a special VIP area for spectators and supporters!

You can support a youth team member by donating on his or her behalf. Each team member will raise at least $45 for the team with any net proceeds going to the Baja Mexico Missions Trip! Help get the teens out there in the mud, and come and join the party!

MUDRUN PRACTICES:
There will be several team practices for optional and additional training. This is not like a normal jog or 5k run... because there will be a great deal of stop and go, climbing, crawling and teamwork involved. It's a 3.5 mile obstacle course with several large mud pits where people will be on all fours, climbing and wading through... it's a great time, where duct-tape keeps your shoes on and every inch of you will get muddy! All practices will be on the beach. Be ready with a swimsuit underneath. We meet at 10th & the Strand in Hermosa Beach. Meet at the life guard tower past the big yellow swings just south of the pier and volleyball courts.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
All members will be required to register on their own, online. Registration is only $45 until July 21st, and after that your registration fee will go up. There is an online waiver form as well. You can create a login, or do a guest registration so you don't have to create a profile. If you are under 21, be ready with a parent/guardian. You will register as an individual to complete all your information. Select the 10:30am start time! Please send me your confirmation upon completion of your registration!

DAY OF:
We will be carpooling down to the location together early Saturday morning, on August 21st. Location address is: Pasadena Rose Bowl at 1001 Rose Bowl Dr Pasadena , CA. Take the Interstate 405 north to the 105 east, to the 605 FWY north to the 210 FWY Pasadena west towards San Fernando and exit Mountain/Seco, Lincoln, Arroyo Blvd/Windsor. We will meet at the JCC Lot at 8:30am and leave South Bay at 9am.
